Markov Resonant Shoulder Rest Violin

To look at, this shoulder rest doesn't scream comfort and yet, somehow, it is the most comfortable shoulder rest I think I've ever used. It just fits. It is practically invisible and what do you see is incredibly sleek.
The fit is perfect and it's extremely stable.
Nothing could have prepared me for the difference in sound. It seems that not only does it not choke the instrument like traditional shoulder rest, but it even helps the sound resonate and boosts the deep and rich sound of my instrument.

I am extremely impressed and, as I write this early in the morning, I cannot wait to play my violin and discover more about the instrument I thought I knew.

The only negative (?!) is that, due to its unconventional shape, it doesn't fit into my current violin case. Case shopping it is!

When I purchased this shoulder rest, I was only looking for a bigger sound. Because as you must know, most of the shoulder rests make the violin sounds smaller than normal. After I started to play with it, I was amazed by the quality of the sound! It is from the wood and because it is a bit hard on the feeling, this might be difficult for some musicians to get used to it, but if I count the positive effects on my playing, this is really a small problem for me.

For stability and support I should say that I’m impressed. It lets my fingers move on the violin so much easier than normal! Overall I am happy with it.
