i took a chance on this and was quite pleased. its not very loud and quite thin. fairly fast but does sustain, opens up quickly on swells. sounds great, lots of overtones.

I use it as a second crash playing mostly pop, funk and rock. it doesn't have the power for every situation, but nice for lower volume accents.

not a good choice for sustained metal hammering imo, im not a heavy hitter but i don't think it would last long and i would go for something faster in a 15".

like any cymbal, it will be all about if it works with the others. it fit into my setup nicely.
