Maxparts ZA-BDZ19 Fret Wire Tongs

Ich habe die Zange beim Neubundieren meiner Fender Stratocaster verwendet.
Zum einen habe ich mit der Zange die alten Bünde herausgezogen, was aufgrund des abgeflachten Kopfes sehr einfach möglich ist.
Darüber hinaus habe ich mit der Zange die Enden der neuen Bundstäbe grob abgetrennt, was ebenfalls sehr gut funktioniert. Auch weil die abgetrennten Metallenden nicht einfach auf den Boden fallen, sondern sozusagen in der Zange hängen bleiben wodurch man sie wesentlich einfacher entsorgen kann.

Die Zange ist aus massivem Eisen gefertigt und macht einen unverwüstlichen Eindruck.

Ich kann das Produkt für alle Bastler nur empfehlen. Damit ist Refretting leicht gemacht!

I bought these tongs to build a personal set of tools for guitar refrets without having the need to borrow everything.
They work well with regards to fret removal, but when I tried to cut the tang of the very FIRST fret, the border of the edge dented badly, making that side of the tong completely unusable, even for fret removal.
Now, given that I was working on normal nickel (not steel) fretwire, given that regularly use normal tools to work on frets, the fact that these tongs cannot withstand cutting the tang of soft fretwire make them, in my opinion, completely useless. I did not try to cut down the whole fret to the correct length, I fear I would completely destroy them due to the soft nature of the metal from with it has been made, so I had to use regular tongs, and had to remove a lot of material from the bottom of the fret by file, it was so painstaking.
