Very durable pick, the grip tape helps it stay in place even when playing with sweaty hands, great value to prize ratio

K
The pick for me
Kaergbo 14.08.2017
I'm on a quest to find the perfect bass pick. Although I realise that this quite the subjective issue, I still think we can hold picks to certain objective standards.

I've tried picks in the .77 to 1.00 mm range, and found I like a heavy pick (1mm). This just feels the best on heavy bass strings (50-105). The sandy part on the pick makes it the most grippy I've ever felt, which I really liked. The bass pick for me (for now).

A
None Slip Perfection
Anonymous 02.06.2015
I've recently started using picks/plectrae (?) again after many years of finger-styling it instead, mainly as I wanted a harder attack to the notes, but also because I'm playing more rock than slow blues these days. The picks I had to hand were all quite thin, and continually 'spun' as I hit the strings with any power, so I decided to try a selection and see which worked best for me - hence you'll see a few similar reviews.

Firstly, the thickness of the Maxpix whilst no doubt being the quoted 1mm, felt a lot flimsier than the others I'd bought. Not that in use this proved to be a problem in use as it didn't bend overly, but it certainly felt half the width/depth of the Harley Benton equivalents, and a little thinner than the dunlop.

Secondly, the grip on these is exceptional. Not at all sticky and quite rough to the touch, but I was never in any danger of dropping or feeling the dreaded spin as I played.

Of the ones I tried this certainly was the best and the one I'll be stocking-up on.

Nice quality, good grip

Using it with a bass guitar. Also bought the 0,8mm version of the same pick, I prefer this a little more over the thinner one for bass, but both are great in m experience. The grip surface is really a good feature, especially when playing for extended durations.

It's a pick. It's plastic. You can use it to pick your strings. 10/10 just what I wanted.

VV
unexpectedly good
Vlad Vartosu 09.06.2018
After I got a couple of these Heavy and Medium maxpics, the heavy ones started becoming my favorites. The attack and resonance I get out of my strings when using these is very precise and pleasant. Plus, the grip side is amazing. No matter how much you sweat, you simply cannot drop them by accident. A big + to the design team.

I'll try other models from them because the plastic seems of high quality and I'm curious about the other products in their catalog. Thank you!
