Meinl Pickup Turbo Slaptop Cajon

I play in a couple of bands, and love open mics. A lot of open mics don't have a full drumkit so this thing is perfect. Compact, simple and sounds good.
Accoustically it is pretty good, though slightly lacking the depth of a traditional cajon. You can get a variety of bass and snare sounds on it depending on where you hit.
Plugged in it sounds great, although you might need to dampen it slightly inside, as mine had a pickup hotspot inside, so I just dampened it with a little tape.
I was a little disappointed that it wouldn't stay on my lap, it seems a wedge shape rather than a rectangle would maybe fit between legs better?
Easy fix though, I made a strap which clips to my waist so it doesn't move at all.
Overall really pleased with my purchase and everyone loves it at the jam nights. Easy to transport and simple to plug n play.
