Don't buy it for the sound ;) It looks very good, but it sounds like they just put a few walnuts in a box.

I got this as a joke but I was very impressed.

The shaker sound is great! It is smooth and not to highly pitched.

The looks and the built is fantastic. Very realistic to a real cajon. I even managed to take a picture with nothing else on the background and it was mistaken for a full size cajon...

Very good buy.
