Sturdy cable reel makes break down quicker

I bought a couple of these to use for cable storage. I made a small hole in the side of the reel to hold the ends of XLR cables, then put 5 or 6 cables on the reel & wind away. Now at the end of the gig, I can get 10 to 12 cables packed up in about a minute rather than 10 minutes to individually coil & Velcro tie each one. Perfect, sturdy construction.

Nice little helper

Bought this to tidy up my collection of XLR cables. When connecting to XLR cables the plugs get a bit bulky and do not perfectly wind around the cable drum. But nonetheless I winded several cables around the drum and now do not have to unfold before and fold them after use. Very comfortable!
The cable drum is not rock solid but okay.
You can block it with a little plastic part what works quite fine.
I have no idea why some non-pro should spend more for a cable drum of this size.
And it's much more tidy than throwing cables into a case.
And not as annoying as folding them.
I now have a dedicated cable drum for each size of XLR cables I have... I love that Monk-ish order ;-)

Worthwhile

Well made. We use it to roll up 50 m of cat 6 cable for occasional use and it was definitely worth it. Makes life easier.

Good quality reel. Strong and adaptable. I use them for long power cables. No problems after a couple of years

Ok, so there are sturdier cable reels out there, but for the money this one is hard to beat. It?s taken all the road abuse that?s been thrown at it and never let us down yet

Cheap but OK

It's a cheap cable reel but even while touring with them, they never broke on me. It has even a really basic plastic brake that it's really useful and the you often don't see on many cable reels. If have a lot of XLRs you must have something like this.

A great piece of kit at a very reasonable price. If you want to prolong the working life of your cables this item will give you the ability to organize and store them without those annoying tangles that slow you down when time matters.

Sturdy quality

Sturdy quality, quite lightweight. Rolling in the cable takes a little focus and patience.
