I bought these to convert the J type rods on my 1974 Premier bass drum. Although the originals look great they are impractical for tuning the drum and keeping it in tune. Drum key tension rods are much better on bass drums in my opinion. After doing a bit of research I found these Millennium ones to be the correct length so got hem on order. They are perfect, well made and feel like they will last forever. On top of this they are very well priced.

I mean, I don't really have much else to say about them -- they do the job, and they do them well.

Good but....

Although this is a good tension rod, the washer is too big to fit with the Millenium claw which you might get to use with this! I had to cut them off & fit my own!

Couldn't ask for more.

A good rod, good length to fit all lug depths comfortably, good durable material, good threads that would suit any style of music, I play rock and jazz and have found the drum holds its tuning excellently.

Excellent rod for its price! Its a bargain! It resists well, solid, does its purpose pretty well.
If you need a good, solid, and also cheap rod, you can't go wrong with this. If tuned several times, and it also keeps its place when playing.
