I have had very good experience with millenium hardware (drum thrones, clamps etc) but this time I was pleasantly surprised! This hi-hat stand is extremely sturdy, very heavy legs(i have tried stand 5 times the price and many times they were not up to the task), the footboard is very solid with dual chain, the two legs make it easy to bring it next to the double pedal and switch between them. The pedal feel adjustments could be a bit better but again it has agood mechanism with strong plastic for the rotating part. Finally you can easily adjust the angle of the hi-hat as you would do with an expensive stand. I unreservedly highly recommend this product!!!

Not impressed :(
AdrianoGominho 25.08.2022
This was the first time I acquired a "real" hihat stand, being an eDrum player frustrated with the sound of the electronic hihat.
This turned out to be a real disappointment: the unit was wrongly assembled at the factory. After consulting with Thomann support I had to detach the chain from the pedal in order to rotate some parts to where they should be at the factory, basically redoing part of the assembly that was done at the factory. During those tasks I noticed how easily the black paint on the base was damaged by simply handling the unit. A cosmetic issue but nonetheless a major sign of careless product design. A proper metal surface preparation would make the paint adhere in a more robust way.
When I finally had the unit assembled, I noticed that the adjustment screw on the bottom plate support was missing. I found it inside the box but the spring was nowhere to be seen. To top it all, the big metal washer that sits below the rubber disk supporting the lower plate was so badly bent that I still can't imagine how this could happen or passed unnoticed.
However the quick and professional response from Thomann support managed to turn an horrible product experience into a happy customer, given the lengths that they went to mitigate the defects.

Great 2 leg option for double kick pedal users
Dazjam 11.04.2018
As the title says, a very good unit for double bass drum pedal setups - 2 legs that swivel mean you can get this in amongst the other hardware easily. Not sure there is much else out there at this price to compare. Good item. Seems robust and should last well.

Ok, but I would spend a little more
Victor VR 10.08.2021
This stand is ok, it does the job, but it's quality is really on the poor side of mediocre. The clutch and hihat-seat work fine. The bottom screws to screw the pedal to the stand didn't really fit (1 of the 3 didn't fit at all), and this made the stand unstable.

Pay the extra for the next one up.

A 10p nyloc nut to hold the bottom rod to the pedal chain would have made this stand survive more than one practice. The top rod didn't unscrew from the bottom rod and the whole thing came out.
Absolutely useless. Sending it back.

Cheap, strong and ideal
Enrik 20.04.2016
Very good stand. It has plastic cymbal holders and at first I didn't like it while watching it in the site but actually its very good and very strong. It has a small problem with with the plate with one of the bolts but it's a very small problem. I really like the footplate, very stable and very comfortable.
Cons: Not stable enough, the hi hat tends to move when I press the pedal.

Does the job well
Anonymous 14.03.2017
It isn't as smooth as the pro series but it does the job well. The stability is good thanks to it's huge metal plate.
But if you are a serious HH player (open/close funk) I'd advise to get the pro version. But for a guy like me who plays mostly metal and hard rock this stand is more than enough.

Great beginner/intermediate model
Anonymous 06.11.2016
Better than anything else at this price point on the market. For the low price it's really solid, it won't break even if you give it a beating. Although the plastic Hi-Hat seat did eventually snap off but didn't render it unusable.
The trade-off is that it's pretty heavy.
Anyway, if you're starting out, then it's a great choice. I upgraded earlier this year because I wanted something with a lighter, more articulate feel.
