Millenium LST-250 Lighting Stand

The Millenium lighting stand is far more robust than other stands we've used at Soundhelp as part of our live sound / lighting hire business. It is exceptionally well-engineered from substantial all-steel components, meaning that it can safely hold much more weight than you'll ever need, which is particularly important because the new generation LED lights are often heavier than old-school tungsten PAR cans. It's also extremely stable, with a wide spread available on its three legs, even when extended to full height. Even the small details are well thought out, such as the rubber 'O' ring in the top socket, which provides rattle-free positive location for the very solidly made top bar, and it packs down into a minimum space because the use of substantial steel allows the components to be more slender than equivalent aluminium stands . Finally, where can you get this kind of quality for such a low price?

I used two of these stand several time per week for several years, both loaded with four substantial lights and in that time both performed well, neither showing any signs of wear or deterioration in the folding mechanism or other fixture,

Whilst reasonably light, the stand still feel good quality and when erected does not take too much space or take over the stage.

The fully loaded stand comes apart easily for transportation on the back seat of the average car and reassembles quickly. Overall, a good quality item, reasonable priced and able to handle the needs of a gigging band.

These stands work really well, good sturdy construction and the thing i like best is the height to which they extend. This puts your lighting far enough away so that your face isnt melting if you are nearby to the lights. Value for money they are fantastic and worth every penny. They have been constantly gigged througout the UK and have withstood lots of smashing and bashing around.
I was a little worried at first as the connector that holds the T bar on looks a little flimsy, but they have proven their worth. One negative comment is that the paint applied to this 'joint' is too heavy and therefore the t bar doesnt slip on and off easily. I filed off the excess paint so its easy to remove. But if thats the only negative for a product thats a fraction of the cost of some others then save yourself some money and buy these and do a little filing and youll be happy too.
