I decided to skip the expensive Roland clamps and try these out and I was not disappointed. These fit my MDS-12V rack perfectly fine and can hold the regular Roland pad rods and cymbal booms.

This clamp is of very strong build quality and fits perfectly on a standard 1.5" rack pipe. I am currently using this to hold a millenium boom arm on a millenium rack and it's superb.

It is quite heavy and a very strong clamp. The small wing nut doesn't feel as nice as the more expensive clamps but it works just as well.

If you're contemplating getting this clamp or a more expensive one just get this one.

Holds the gear on the rack as it should.
