Portable rack units!

This rack bag is being used to house a Fractal Axefx-ii and on occasion Focusrite Saffire Pro40, to and from practice and recording sessions, and acts as a suitable housing in my home where it cant always be set up.
Very sturdy build despite it looking a bit basic. The straps allow for relative ease when transporting, the bag feels pretty heavy but it gives a sense of protection for the gear inside. Handle and shoulder strap are padded and comfy.
Velcro front and back zips are genius and enables the gear to in essence never leave the bag, and it offers plenty of space at the back for cabling and operation.

Very easy to recommend this due to the fantastic price, just be sure to do your gear a favour and get some nice washers to avoid scratching as you'll be taking gear everywhere with this.

Excellent!

Really well made, and super functional. Suitable for at home or on the move usage.

I don't have too much to say, but for the price, you really can't fault it.

Solid but with a caveat
Johanneswh 07.07.2019
For the money this isva very well build rackbag. But take notice: The suplied screws are rather on the short side (10mm?). They where to short for the amp I bought it for (Behringer nx3000d). I have tried without success to find screws that fit, but these are some weird non standard dimension. Neither US or metric screws fit, and Thomann could NOT help me with this. They have spare screws for sale, but they are the same short ones... I ended up getting an M5 tap and tapping the holes to metric dimensions. That is trivially easy to do IF you have the right tool...

Thomann seriously ought to re-design this detail!

Cheap But not too sturdy
Mr G 19.03.2014
I quite like the idea of having a carry case for our power amp and certainly it does this well. Our amp is quite deep from front to back but fitted in fine. The problem here is that if you move things around alot the component parts tend to wear out. Both zips broke within 18 months and the outer padding began to slip over the wooden interior. Basically I feel its a great idea but just needs better quality materials to make it suitable for the gigging musician.

Millenium Rack Bag 2
Markus201 31.08.2014
I originally bought this bag to carry my audio interface and it's basing wiring around. It was very good for that job, since it has quite a lot space in the back. It is easy to load it up with cables needed for the job and carry it around.
It fullfilled it's job very well and since I've used it for carrying other audio devices too. The overall quality is decent and it is hard enough to earn some trust considering the travelling part of a gig.
The desing is well thought and the lids can attach themselves to the sides with piece of velcro. That's neat way to keep them out of the way.
I have one complain though; the rackstrips are quite a far apart, so all rack equipment won't go there without a serious fight. I have had even one eq, that did have too narrow holes to fit at all.

Impressive piece of kit
Anonymous 12.07.2016
This rack bag is a lot more than just a 'rack bag'. Its sturdy and well made. Nicely recessed at the front and back so as not to disturb any knobs or any scratch-damage to my amp. The rear even has enough space for my amp patch lead and mains plug.

It has a handy pouch on the top for leads, tuner etc and really does hold a good few bits of equipment that would usually go in a separate bag or case.

The front and rear cover both unzip and are attached to Velcro to stop them flapping about.

Highly recommended and for the price its an outstanding rack bag and perfect if you're on a budget.

Very good!

So normally I use 6U Rack with additional space for my IEM mixer. Imagine having to transport it to each rehearsal. I bought this and put my Axe-Fx in (which I use also at home). Now I can carry it on my shoulder and just remove Fractal and install in in my rack for the gigs. Axe fits perfectly and there are no issues with overheating etc. The additional pocket is handy and large enough to put some cables, batteries in.

T
Good solid rack bag
Thro 18.08.2018
This bag is pretty good - the section that the rack brackets are attached to, and to which you mount equipment, is made of plywood so it's all pretty solid (a bit heavier than I expected but still very managable). Nice heavy-duty nylon bag material, lots of zips, pockets and straps - and it comes with hardware for mounting your equipment. This bag was rather deeper than I expected (my bad for not checking the dimensions carefully before ordering) so I didn't end up using it for the piece of equipment that I was originally intending to use it for - but it has come in useful for some bits of recording gear that I drag to gigs from time to time. All in all, a solid bit of kit.

Great for what it is !

I like it a lot
almost wished it was a bit shorter, but i guess this is because my rack gear is not that deep
still think it does the job and it has proved itself strong

Nice handy little bag.
Anonymous 15.03.2016
I use this for my power amp when doing smaller gigs and don't need a full rack set up. It's done the job for years and was one of the best purchases I made when first going to a passive PA setup.

Pros: Really easy to set up with the amp, came with all necessary bolts and screws, lots of handles for ease of use when carrying to and from gigs.

Cons: Got torn to shreds over time. It's not a permanent fixture in your set up if you do a lot of travelling and gigs!

Overall: Recommend as a starter rack bag but over time you'll need to upgrade to a case, especially if doing lots of gigs.
