With my band we're starting to record more so I needed a ways to transport a few bits of home studio kit safely from my house to our practice space. This bag allows me to house my Focusrite Octopre and 18i20 interface. I bought the 3u to leave space, perhaps, for a headphone amp later.
The bag is made of tough-looking nylon. It seems to be reinforced with hardboard or ply. It it as light as is reasonable for the level of protection and I expect to to last at least as well as other bags I have made of similar material.
Access is from both ends, making patching cables easy. The price on Thomann was very good, much cheaper than similar products I could find online in the UK, and so it's more than met my needs.

Good for keeping your rack FX in your car
howardjworf@aol.com 09.09.2023
I bought this because just putting the compressor on the floor under the mixer table at gigs was not a sensible thing to do.
We now have two compressors installed, protects them well enough for our use, and we have a spare rack space for a third multi FX unit (our desk has 2 already built in).
Pro's - seems to be very well made for the use to which we will put it. Has velcro to hold the front and back doors open during use (although it is slightly misaligned on the one we have - not an issue tbh). There is a pocket to store cables etc, but I keep the wiring connected as the case is pretty deep, the compressors compact so there is plenty of room. Extremely practical for a semi pro band like us.
Cons: the shoulder strap is mounted asymmetrically and cannot be removed - I shall probably cut it off. The rack screws are non standard and have slot heads which makes them very fiddly to fit.
Definitely recommended if you don't need the robustness of a flight case.

A good case for the money
Rinaldo U. 07.12.2013
This is a good case for the money but not as good as some of the other brands of case out there, but they are more than twice the price of the Thomann. I purchased the case to house an EPX3000 amplifier and speaker management unit. The rack mounting screws are spplied with the unit and are smaller than the normal ones but seem to work well. There is some kind of rigid shell around the rack items which is covered in the canvas material, so your equipment is well respected.the front and back covers unzip and fold to the sides attaching with velcro. Small pocket on the top of the unit for cable storage. There is a carry handle plus a shoulder strap (which is not removable). All in all I am pleased with the unit and again you have to accept that this is not an expensive case. The main advantage of using a rack bag is...
Lighter than a flightcase
Better when transporting in a car as it will not damage trim
All black so blends into the background on a stage

Well pleased with this rack bag, with amp inside is lighter to carry than my old flightcase and is tough as nails. Top product.
