Millenium Sound Control Ring Set Std

This is the first Thomann product I have bought which I didn't like. The snare and floor tom rings fitted but the high and mid tom ones were too big - they were for a standard rock kit which is what I thought these were meant to fit. Perhaps I bought the wrong size in error?
Having said that they are very thin and the effect they gave is pretty minimal compared to the Evans ones that my drum teacher uses on his two kits. I think I'll chuck these and get the Evans ones instead.

When they are functional they work amusingly to get rid of any extra unwanted reverb from the Shells and Snare of the kit but if they don't lie flat then they will come off the drum kit when you hit the drums.

I buy Dampening Gels now that achieve a better effect and don't weaken the sound of your drums.

I tried an Evans one and this fits my yamaha gigmaker drum perfectly. These in contrary are too big and don't touch the drumsurface well. I will cut them and connect again with transparant tape. I don't advice the cheaper option of Millenium in this case, altough I already had a lot of good Millenium products (rack stand etc) SO two stars in total: not to buy

While being reluctant to offer a negative review, I had high hopes when ordering and receiving two full sets of these rings for use on a Yamaha 9000 Recording kit and also on a Yamaha Custom Tour kit.
The rings overlapped the drum hoops on the 16 inch toms, producing a buzzing rattle when the drumhead was struck. In addition, when placed on 12 inch and 13 inch toms, the rings were slightly short of the drum hoop, resulting in a similar buzzing sound.
As stated earlier, I am sorry not to feel able to offer a more positive review.
