Very sturdy. Records acoustic guitar beautifully. Had it for a few years now, no issues whatsoever. There are probably cheaper alternatives out there with a better cost / performance ratio (Line Audio Design's CM3 / CM4 come to mind), but if you've got the money it's hard to get something much better than this. Or to put it another way, if you sound bad using this microphone, it's not the microphone.

I can say little or nothing that you don't know about this microphone. Whoever buys a Neumann knows very well what they want: quality, and this little one is no exception. I bought it to record acoustic guitars, but it behaves perfectly with other sound sources: minor percussion, violins, etc. In fact, I took him to a friend's studio to record some guitars, and although of course he knew him well, he was very impressed with his clarity and naturalness. The microphone is cardioid, it does not have other polar patterns, but it does not need them either, it more than fulfills its purpose. If you pair it with a quality preamp, it's going to put a smile on your face, guaranteed.
