Neutrik makes good stuff
kxszander 05.02.2020
I bought about 20 of these when I decided to make my own patchbays both for live rig and for my studio setup.

Does precisely what it needs to do; use M3 rack screws to fit a 19"-rack backplate with the powercon or XLR-plugs of your choice, fit with optional multicolor Neutrik labeling sheets, and color-coordinate those with optional coding rings for your Neutrik plugs. Pristine rigs for the win!

These are a bit pricy for what it is – and for my personal taste. Color labels, coding rings, adapters set me quite a bit of money. But I don't think there is an equally effective alternative out there, so this is THE way to go.

A time saver.
Breelo 09.09.2015
Having built numerous XLR patch bays, I would recommend anyone building one with the Neutrik feed-through connectors to buy some of these, as they are by far the easiest way to secure the connectors to the panel. They save a lot of time and frustration by not having to use fiddly nuts on the back of the panel. Just make sure you buy enough of them.

Something small but nessecary
Anonymous 08.12.2015
I never knew I even needed these until it came to designing a back panel for a rack unit. The holes have m3 threads on them, and are a lot easier to use than fiddling about with M3 nuts.

If you're creating a d-type rack panel, these are a must!

A great help

Don’t by a d-norm socket without getting also this. No more fiddling with nuts. Just screw in your M3 bolts and you’re done. Only thing: buy one or two more than you need, just in case you strip a thread..

Why use anything else?
Terrains 11.07.2024
I read reviews saying this beats fiddling around with M3 nuts at the back of your rack. I did initially think "how hard could that be?" but fortunately I'll never know because I bought these and it's a breeze to fit any D type stuff to rack panels. No need to go nuts ;-)

Makes life a lot easier!

After struggling to fit nuts on the other side of the rack panel manually I have to say this little piece of kit is very handy if you plan to modify things often!

Perfect

Does the job!
One comment: when putting a couple of them right next to each other on a 16-holes rack they touch and bend a little. But the thing still holds perfectly fine

So fast!
J McM 05.09.2024
These make making racks so easy and fast. No nuts required which is great because often it's very fiddly to try and hold the nut in when trying to get the screw in as it's already in a rack/rack plate

I you need then, buy them.
Simon Cox 15.04.2019
They are good quality M3 threaded fixings for non-threaded XLR/Speakon/Powercon and other Chassis mount D-type connectors.

They clip onto the back of the connector, which makes them easy to mount because you don't have to hold them.

If you need them, why look else where? They are a fair price and they provide anti-rotation mounting for anything you put in it.
