Neutrik NCJ5 FI-S

I building a portable video & sound mixing set based on Panasonic video mixer, Mackie sound mixer, Black Magic converter etc.
Solid distribution box plays very important role in the project.
Desided to use Neutrik NCJ5 FI-S for XLR / jack hybrid connector is always good to have on field recording. On top of this: I did never have problems with XLR/TRS Neutrik sockets in intensively uzed equipment.
Neutrik is Neutrik.

It works. And that's what it should do.

Difficult for soldering, but good quality of connector

Made a patch panel with these and they're well made and super-useful. Plus, like all Neutrik stuff, the fit on to pre-punched patch panels. I know it's not much, but the styling makes panels look professional.

Plus, you have a choice between jack and XLR outputs, so what's not to like about that when you forget cables!

These are excellent, we're really pleased with these items, excellent quality, very sturdy (so far) and very easy to wire up. They will do the job we are looking for absolutely perfectly.

There isn't really much to say about this Neutrik sockets. The quality is exactly as you would expect it from Neutrik products. I've built a patch panel for my Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 and everything is working like a charm. Sockets contact is very good, both XLR and jacks fit perfectly so there is no noise or other unwanted clicks or hum if the soldering is done well. Considering their price this are a real bargain.

It's neutrik, what else do you expect. It's made of a high grade plastic so really easy to solder too (no melting). It wouldbe nice if it came with a diagram to link the jack to xlr but once you work it out it's fine.

Good product, standard Neutrik quality BUT be aware if trying to connect these to a rack plate, you will need some Neutrik self tapping screws to do so! I did not know this and spent ages going to hardware stores trying to find something small enough to no success! In the end Neutrik sent me some of the screws but would have been easier if I had known how small the screw holes were and could have bought some of the screws with them!
