The design is heavy duty. The materials used are of very good quality, and regardless of how many times you solder and de-solder the plug it remains great. The strain relief on this product is very well thought out allowing for various cable diameters to be used. Audio quality is superb and gives a piece of mind to whoever is using it especially professionals in both studio and live applications.

Neutrik also provide accessories to this plug such as the BPX plug butt which comes in various colours and the PXR which is a coding ring specially designed to go with this product which also comes in various colours.

No cons what so ever in my humble opinion. After using the product for a while the price is totally justified.

When it comes to plugs, I try and get the best as I need reliable products which won't let me down during a recording session - these jack plugs are great. They don't bend and can withstand lots of soldering heat without any trace of melting or deforming, the parts are very solid and rugged. The price is just right for the quality so if you need stereo jack plugs for balanced cables - grab these without hesitation.

It being a plain albeit gold*-plated run of the mill plug.
* not all gold is equal, karats do vary greatly; at these kind of prices, you don't expect anything fancy; and indeed, nothing fancy is what you get.

Best connectors

This is maybe the best TRS connector out there, sometimes is pretty difficult to tighten it up and closing it properly if you are using a pretty tick cable. I am using it together with the Sommer Cable Galileo 238 / SW.

It's Neutrik, it's trustable.

Well, wat to say. It's Neutrik, it's trustable.
As it is with these Neutrik jacks, it can be a bit of a challenge to solder the wires onto those tiny terminals, but it is feasible wit a very hot soldering iron (400°C).

So easy to hook up. The instructions from call out how far to strip, what goes where, and when to put what on to assemble the entire thing. Very easy to do the first time and all cables came out perfect!

I love this jack

I bought a lot of these and used them with Sommer Cable SC Club Series MkII. It is solid. The contacts are thick and gold plated. I don't hear any distortion / noise in the signal using the cables I've made with these jacks. And I got to say, my soldering is not the best. It would be a good idea to be sure you have the right equipment for making a professional cable, because this is a professional jack. It's a pity if you don't make the soldering good enough.
In conclusion, I don't think you can find better jacks.

This is one of the greatest connectors for use with balanced equipment. Very easy to solder for me (some people may disagree if the aren't used to soldering, because of the small distance between tip & ring contacts), very strength connection & great catching of the cable after everything is done!
