Neutrik Rean NYS 201
This is the first time I have used these Rean NYS 201 jack plugs but Neutrik is a well know brand name for audio connectors so I bought with confidence.
They are much cheaper than many other similar jacks and are superb quailty with a solid feel to them.
The outer part screws over the inner part and the only negative point I can see is that the two parts can unscrew quite easily, I add a little piece of PTFE to the threads and it keeps theme together nicely, (PTFE tape is used by plumbers for sealing the threads on pipe fittings !!! but works fine on jack plugs !!!)
A nice touch is the insulator sleeve which slides over the internal connections and prevents the inner core terminal shorting out with the outer cover.
The terminals solder easily and the cable clamp just crimps onto the outer cable sheath by squeezing with some pliers, very easy to install.
I added a short piece of heatshrink tubing to the end of the cable to add a little extra support to the cable where it enters the jack as this is where they usually break and it made the end more rigid and less likely to bend here and cause the inner cores to break.
I think in future I will another piece of slightly larger diameter heatshink tubing over the entire jack body and the first piece of heatshrink tubing to make a really solid job and this will stop the casing unscrewing without having to use the PTFE tape.

I got these for making my own patch cables along with 5m of cable. Very easy to set up, nearly a year on and 20 cables remain intact, no signs of the contacts failing or anything like that. Great price and have zero complaints

small and beautiful

Small and beautiful plugs, a shiny look, it's fun to plug it into the socket. Easy to solder. For light workloaded cables, I think so.

for Pedalboard
Alchemist_ 20.02.2023
I use them in the pedalboard, where you can not use the corners. Because they are shorter than others.
This is a quality product. The only difference from Neutrik is that here the wire must be clamped with pliers.

Easy to solder
RemusD 08.11.2022
The connector is easy to solder and has a nice weight to it. I used them for a cable from my bass to the pedalboard. For balanced connections I recommend the NYS 228.

good for the money

for budget and for patch cables, these are my first choice. For a few cables only or for heavy usage on the cables, I'd choose the real Neutrik connectors since they're more rigid.
