The only possibility
Marko159 17.12.2015
This is for use with NS-Design NXT- and CRT-series electric cellos. I'm not sure if you can use this with Omnibass as well.

If you want to be able to move around while playing, this is pretty much the only option for you. It consists of a wooden frame that attaches to the instrument and a standard guitar strap that goes over your shoulder.

You can adjust the instrument position somewhat but you can not get exactly similar playing position as when sitting with a traditional instrument. Specifically, when playing on C-string (or low F if you have one) you need to take your right arm way back, behind your sideline.

Since the instrument position is different to what you are probably used to, it also makes it hard to play with good intonation without looking at the fingerboard markings.

So by all means far from perfect but still the best (and pretty much only) option there is.

PL
The wandering 'cellist
Peter L. 777 04.06.2013
I bought the NS shoulder strap system to go with the 6 string CR6 electric cello. My experience of it is positive and as a cellist of many years it allows one the strange feeling of being able to wander around the room while playing which gives a quite different perspective.
The attachment is extremely stable and yet flexible enough to adapt to different body sizes. The finger board is neatly angled over the left shoulder and the strings can all be bowed with ease. It takes some time to learn how to redistribute the body weight when playing standing after so many years of sitting but it gives a creative jolt to the system!

A whole new world of cello playing!
Anonymous 13.11.2014
I've only been playing cello a short while and one of the few things I didn't like about it was having to sit down while my bandmates bounced around.

Having the Shoulder strap is a revelation! It's very easy to attach to your NS cello and, once attached, it feels very secure. The slight change in playing position took a little getting used to, but only a little.

The one star this has lost is due to the fact that the actual strap part of the system seems oddly long for its purpose. Even with it at its shortest I could still do with the instrument being another inch or two higher when I'm stood up, but the buttons it attaches to look universal enough that I could use a shorter strap if it was a massive problem, which it isn't.

Overall I am loving being a mobile cellist!

Now you can dance
Hizami Cello 11.04.2022
With the most newest design this is indeed a very useful accessory for ns design cellist as the features represent new style of performing rather than just sitting in one position.

The product give you ability to move freely and perhaps now you can dance along with others musician as well in performance.

Very suitable with the solid wood designated according to our physical and adjustable height is the best thing you can get from it.

If you’re cellist who want to explore other side of coin in performance you need to have this so you can feel the awesomeness playing cello while moving around the stage.

Working but not comfortable
Anonymous 30.03.2015
Cello shoulder strap is usable but it's not anywhere near comfortable. The few available adjustments are mandatory but the wooden chest support does not fit and there's no way adjust it.

Sometimes the instrument is swinging uncomfortably and fast bow action is much harder.
