Excellent Pedal board Junction Box.
ShreddyKrueger. 12.11.2024
Long Story Short version:
It's good, try one.

Long version:
I needed a junction box/patchbay for my Holey Board pedalboard after tidying it up and wishing to save the input/output jacks of first and last pedals.
I only needed a junction box, absolutely no buffers or other such nonsense.
I have also banished colours that make the board look drab and dreary, so NO black, dark red or gold.
I looked at the one cheap, non black/dark, food-based option I could find on the InterWeb, but the postage was nearly the same as the One Control Patchbay BJF Buffer. So, er.. black it was then.

One Control Junction Box/Patchbay:
It actually looks really smart in person, seems really solid and well made, and comes nicely packaged, including the option of stick on rubber feet (just like the girl of my dreams).
Cheaper than most stand-alone buffers.
If you register the Serial Number at the Warwick website, you get a Warranty extension to 4 years.

As just a passive/non-powered junction Box/Patchbay it works perfectly.

I did compare the BJF Buffer to that in my Strymon Dig Delay and couldn't really tell much difference between them, if anything, the Strymon seemed a tad brighter (virtually nothing in it though). But that could be because it is earlier in the chain than the One Control BJF Buffer.

I have not tried the Phase Switch, because I play in mono, and have not encountered a time when my mono signal was phase cancelled (if that's the right term, I'm trying my best here people). I have no doubt it probably works well given the rest of the units quality.

Cons:
For my needs, the only Con is the colour (or lack thereof).

Note to One Control - how's about making it in bright green with pink polka dots? Or, stick a picture of a Ham sandwich, or a dog riding a unicycle, on it or something?

Verdict:
If your budget allows, buy it.
Most stand-alone buffers are more expensive, you get the Phase Switch option should you ever need it, and it can be used passively as just a Junction Box/Patchbay.
PLUS, 4 Years Warranty extension.
