Micro Terror is a really nice and pretty package. There are not too many features, but what it does, it does it really well. The sound is nice and crunchy and there's a lot of power in this tiny amp. You can really hear and feel the tube sound, although it is an hybrid amp. I would not recommend this for really high-gain metal, but for moderate gain it delivers really nice sound. This amp also works great with pedals.
The mp3 player/cellphone playback feature doesn't work at all at low gain settings, but when you use more gain it works ok.
Overall finish is really good and it has very sturdy design.

If you're looking for a rock/hardrock amp for home use, this thing really is bang for the buck. You could use this for heavy metal also, but it has it's limits with really high gain.

O
Small Amp, Mighty Roar
Octavator 23.09.2017
Cons:
No effect loop like the Micro Dark
Through a 4ohm amp on high gain and volume causes cut out (built in feature to stop damage)

Pros
Amazing amp
Great sound
Tiny and light
Really loud for 20 watts

You need this amp, as a backup, main, home use, whatever. You need it. The price and sound are fantastic and you will not regret it.

M
quality/price ratio monster
MaxRech 13.02.2014
I got the Orange Micro Terror to use it in our band room. Through a VOXV112TV it is loud enough for me. Bur of course there is not much headroom to play clean. Especially the crunched sound is just great for the money. I think it is worth playing the amp at least through a 1x12" cab. It can handle a 4x12" too without any problems. Although there is no full EQ the small EQ-knob works quite well. The headphone-out is unusable for me, because there is no cab-simulation integrated, which makes the sound really bad. But I don't use or need it, so I'm absolutely fine with it.

Important Note: Don't use the Amp with 4 Ohm speaker. The power amplifier will start clipping very soon. It's a known mistake of the micro terror, you can check the internet. But with 8 or 16 Ohm the Amp will be totally fine.

All in all, if you don't want to play with headphones or plan to use a 4 Ohm speaker, the Orange Micro Terror is a real quality/price ratio champion!

Fun concept

I enjoy this little micro terror, but after owning it for a while I prefer the mini portable amps from boss and blackstar, its more of a novelty than a practical solution; I’d plump for the katana if given he choice.

Powerful little box

Like a lot of people have said, this is, indeed, a loud little amp, but few mention its actual sound quality.

Of course you can tear up at a gig with a 4x12, but that's not what made me like this amp. Loving the sound of artists like Gene Vincent, Roy Orbinson, and Elmore James, it was quite hard for me to find an amp that was affordable but still did that vintage sound, but the Micro Terror certainly delivered! A little bit of slapback delay, and I was partying like it was the 1950s! Then, I turned up the tone knob a bit, cranked up the gain, and I really felt the modern rock vibe that came out. Put the right reverb in front of it and you can soundscape to your heart's content.

Pros: Versatile within the Blues, rock, rockabilly, country and a bit of jazz; Looks good, sounds even better.

Cons: ...? No FX Loop? ...I Guess?
So if you're in the tightest of budgets, not looking for Fender cleans, Marshall gain, or anything actually legendary, but just something that sounds good, is dependable, and looks pretty cute, the Micro Terror really is ideal!

A roaring kitten

A totally cute little package that would deserve it's place anywhere even without turning the thing on.
Somewhat limited adjustment possibilities but on the other hand easy to dial in a pretty good sound real quick.
When played through a small 8" speaker, it's surprisingly potent when turning up the volume. Plugging into a 4x12" it's a real monster(looks really cool with this tiny amp on top of a big speaker cabinet as well)
I have mine on my desk at work, using the AUX-in to stream some music from my computer(and playing some nasty riffs during lunch-break)

This is a very angry lunchbox! Very, very handy little amplifier, great for any blues or rock musician who likes to travel light. Lovely breakup when driving the distortion with a crisp crunchy flavour. The tone knob isn't overly versatile but I run an EQ and Overdrive pedal into it for more mids and lower chunk.
Very good price for that classic Orange sound.
