Awesome Accent Piece

I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this given the price tag and having never heard one in person, but I am thrilled with my purchase.

Even though everyone has their preferences and taste in cymbal tone is very subjective, I would argue that this particular cymbal is quite versatile despite its price point. Whether you're a hardcore drummer looking for an accent bell to set off a breakdown or a percussionist looking for some flare, this could be a good choice for you.

Positives: Good impact response (also upside down) and a bright, full tone.
Negatives: Extremely long decay (problematic for some recordings)

Again, these are my subjective opinions, but I remain pleasantly surprised.

I was expecting a more defined sound from this cymbal but it's still very good for the price. It's very BRIGHT and has great sustain.
The build quality is very good too

PAISTE 2002 06" ACCENT CYMBAL rate now:

This is currently the cheapest cymbal I own ! I am astounded at the quality of manufacture, very fine lathing, lacquered? buffing compound? finish. The sound is somewhere between a normal splash and a bell, if placed on a small felt mount then it is closer to a splash sound and can be hit hard. If placed on the Paiste Cup Chime Holder, then the rubberised mounts make it sound much more bell like, but not quite as extreme as a real cup chime. I never imagined I would be playing it so often !

This is a great affordable addition to my growing drum kit, and I would imagine many people would have use for it in theirs.

6" accent cymbal

This is another great Paiste cymbal, its tone is pure and it has quite a long sustain for its size. The cymbal is exactly as described; perfect for accents and fills and it complements the other 4" accent cymbal I purchased.
Although they are quiet, fitting a condenser mic will mean the audience can hear them sing.
