I use it as my side accent crash. The power of this cymbal will cut through every cymbal and the loudest china. Note that its only 17" but its lower pitched than 18" Medium crash. I like to hit that cymbal while I crash-ride my main cymbal which is the 2002 Medium 18" crash, just to add an accent.

I`d recommend that cymbal for metal players.
