Good Sounding Quality Product

In my opinion, the PST7s are in a league of their own when it comes to Paiste's entry level cymbal lines. The 18" crash feels great to play and is surprisingly dynamic. The tone is bright, rich, and very nice, even though it is perhaps worth mentioning that some of the high frequencies might be a bit problematic in small rooms (though in my experience, the same goes for the more expensive Paiste B8 cymbals too). Nevertheless, this is a great sounding and well made cymbal.

Paiste PST7 Crash is great
Robtimus Prime 03.10.2014
The Paiste PST7 18" Crash cymbal is a great stage or even studio level cymbal. I find both projection and decay are great with this crash. I would highly recommend the PST7 line if you're a Paiste fan and in the market to maybe upgrade but don't want, or can't get the higher Paiste lines like Signature or Twenty. PST7 is a great alternative, I'm very happy with this crash and also with the PST7 heavy Hi Hats I purchased from Thomann also. The only negative I could give this crash would be a very small one, I know, but a negative for some I'm sure, the bell on this crash is not the best. Overall a great cymbal, very impressive for the price, great Paiste standard.

A great cymbal

Cannot be faulted, bright, explosive, not too loud. Comes quite close to the 2002 series (obviously not the same) but a really good addition for an intermediate drummer.

Nice enough cymbal, definitely gig worthy although I'm still looking to upgrade soon. A bit brighter than I'd like but all round a great cymbal for the price.

A classic sounding crash at an unbeatable price
the_drummernator 28.11.2024
A bright, shimmery and vintage crash sound akin to the red label 2002's but for a fraction of the price. The PST7 series is a budget line, but their crashes sound incredible. I own the 19" medium crash as well and probably like that one even more. The traditional finish, lathing and logo is visually pleasing; this does not look like a budget cymbal (like the PST5s). If you're looking for a more complex, warm or dark sounding cymbal, this won't be for you. If you're looking for that classic crash sound, you'll love this.

Great!

Absolute quality cymbal. Sounds stellar through my overheads. Can take a beating. Has a lot of top end and can sound uncomfortable if played in a small room but great in a large room or live.
