Really good quality
Csubee 28.09.2020
I use it at home with my Peavey 6505 120W + Engl 4x12 Pro.
I needed this, becasue sometime i have to lower the volume on my rig.

My expactations were not really high, becasue You can read everywhere how attenuators affect the sound of your amp, and how bad they are. I can say i was really suprised.

Compared to the natural sound of my amp i can barely tell the difference (Except the volume ofcourse).
I usually use it on 50% or 75% to attenuate the volume for normal room use, but using on 18% give me a surrealistic feel, becasue i never had a chance to play my amp monster late night. Now its not a problem anymore. At 18% the sound gets a little bit muddy (But still enjoyable) but im sure about its becasue the signal at this level is too low for my 4x12.
The construction is perfect for me. Simple, strong and straightforward. I expected it to heat up after a while, but i never noticed it.
The bypass function also working fine and it makes easy to switch between the amp original and the attenuated volume.

So, I can only recommend it if you need to lower the volume on your rig.

Best attenuator on the market!
Anonymous 07.06.2015
Small, simple to use and decent volume differences.

It's fantastic for live shows, I usually set it on 50% with my Mesa Boogie dual Rectifier. It keeps the levels between the different amp channels EXACTLY the same. I've found that some others change the levels for solo boost and clean a fair bit.

Great tone at low volumes!!

It's made by Palmer, so it's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for!!

Solid design

It does what it's supposed to do, and appears to be built like a tank.

CG
A useful piece to have
Colum Gray 29.08.2022
I needed something so that our drummer wouldn't further damage his already damaged guitar. I like the way a guitar feels when the amp is cranked. There had to be something that fit the bill, and this was it. The decrease in volume is more of a psychoacoustic phenomenon. It makes less of an impact, but I'd be hard pressed to say that the amp didn't sound the same, albeit at very decreased volumes, which is noticeable when it comes to how the sound is perceived. I recorded a track with no attenuation, and another with, and the difference in tone was there, although nominal.

J
Solidly built, but disappointing sound quality
JorisV 26.09.2013
This item is solidly built and straightforward in use, but the sound quality is very disappointing (huge loss of high frequencies and overall clarity). I am very enthusiastic about the Palmer Eins amp, but unhappy with this PDI-06
