These are great little studio monitors. For someone that values look and sound, these are the way to go. Easily the best looking studio monitors out there, great build quality and amazing punchy bring-your-house-down sound that in no way compromises in clarity and quality. I am by no means, a technical expert so I won't go any further. But I've had some similarly priced studio monitors and these are the best I've owned so far.
For customers that may be new to this type of product, like I was a while ago:
- No they don't come in pairs, you have to buy two of them (I mean, you don't have to but I'd strongly recommend it);
- They connect to your mixer via XLR (microphone cables) or 6.3mm jack (no RCA inputs)
- You might want to consider investing in a passive monitor controller such as the Monicon (also by Palmer) and in the same style of the monitors if you're planning on buying two of them. It's not required if you have an audio interface on which you can control the volume via an accessible knob. But if you are to connect them to a mixer that sits a bit far away from your work desk, then the controller is the way to go.
