Very very bad smell

The rug has very good dimensions and a wonderful appearance.
But, ..... the anti slip material, that has been used to keep it from sliding on the floor, has an awfully bad smell. I've had it out on the balcony since I took it out, two days ago. Today I went to see if it has somehow lost its bad smell. Unfortunately, it hasn't lost it at all.
I'm afraid that if I put it inside a room, the room will have this bad smell and I won't be able to place my drums in it.
I would like to ask........Has anyone else noticed this bad smell in this rug or is it just mine?
Also, what is Thomann's opinion on this problem?
