I upgraded my hanging tom from the Rim mounted SST mount that came with my kit to the Pearl Optimount. It's very stable and I like how it makes contact with the drum on both the top and bottom lugs. The tom no longer bounces as much as it used to do with the old mount and it gives me piece of mind on the night of the gig knowing it's a solid piece of gear that wont fail.

These are easily the best mount out there, but not the prettiest! maybe the chrome ones counter that? Easy to fit and no maintenance, improve stability no end and improve resonance, fitted in place of ISS on a vision kit, vast improvement!

I didn't want to drill new holes to my old toms and found RIMS to bulky, so I ordered a couple of those.
Like most Pearl hardware it's really well made. It's definitely not the most eye catching thing on my kit, but it works really well.
