What! - The tips of these are OVAL ! and not ball shaped as the illustration shows. Possibly the picture has been cropped off to produce the image shown. I only got one pair to try out, so I don't mind. Oak sticks are really few and quite hard to find. These are much heavier than I normally use, but worth experimenting with on the Zildjian K-Custom Ride which seems to need oak to bring out the full overtones.

Great Drum Sticks

I know each person has their own preferred stick size, but the quality of these sticks is phenomenal. The Shira Kashi Oak feels very sturdy and you get great sounds from rimshots and hitting the ride bell. Additionally, each stick has a code for the Pro Mark Players Circle, so it's useful for getting discounts in the long-run!
