The cables which I replaced that came with my Yamaha HS80s 4 years ago packed in recently they probably needed a solder job but they are shrink wrapped, so I got this instead because I keep my sound card close to one of my monitors (which is an Apogee Duet2 so it's really quiet).

However due to the manufacturing methods of these cables they do allow noise, not a lot but enough.
