The Puresound were bought to replace some old Ludwig original snare wires.

The wires seem to be well made and of good quality. My snare has the tape system so they were easy to fit.

Overall impression is that they are very serviceable but nothing exceptional sound-wise, just slightly brighter than the original wires. That suits me fine and I'd buy them again.

Good, But don't expect miracles

Its not going to change your snare to something completely different. The notion that it has no unwanted buzz is a farce. However the product is good and will improve the sound snare if you are using factory made snare wires. The Speed Release straps get 10 out of 10 and are a great idea. All in all i was happy, I say give it a go, but dont expect miracles.

These snare wires really are the ultimate in ease of use. The lock system works really well! They also help eliminate a noticeable amount of snare buzz when hitting toms. The snares themselves are quite durable and sound great even after extended uses. After 7 - 8 moths they still have there bite and clarity!

Great change for a small price !

I decided to change both heads of my snare so i thought "why not the wires as well".
And what a change !
14 wires makes a huge difference and gives a crisp sharp sound when tuned accordingly 👍
