Long life and consistent sound
Jotzeph 08.01.2018
I love these strings. I use them on my 5-string modified Fender Jazz Bass (with Sadowsky pre-amp). I use the heavy gauge because on fenders the B string is typically quite floppy. But with the added thickness of the heavy gauge, the B string is snug and tight, and the sound is tight too. If you manage to keep a light touch, it sounds just as even as the other strings, and if you dig in, you get a nice gnarly tone. I've had them on for over a year, and there's absolutely no corrosion on them, and sound is still nice and bright.

Best 5 string set for low tunings!
Jay Kay Guitars 15.07.2021
Using these on my Ibanez 1305 Custom 1998 Japan for studio recordings in lower tunings.

I've been and still am a Elixir strings fan for all my guitars and basses but after I tried this set on my Ibanez 1305 custom I am not thinking of switching again. I can't believe how cheap they are and how great they sound.

After a couple of months of use, I have nothing to complain about worth every cent. Will buy again!

Top for low-drop fingerstyle
Guille de las Heras Flo 30.09.2018
These are, at least for now, the best choice for Drop A/G# bass tunning. It's really hard to find "fat" strings that, at the same time, they able you to play fingerstyle with punch.
I play a 4 strings Warwick Streamer LX Jazzman in Drop G#, and this is for sure the best option for playing punchy, fret-noiseless.
