Good for the price, KT DN100 or BSS AR133 are good alternatives.

Robust build quality, this is where your money goes. Same Steel book shell design as the rest of the Radial pro/j line. This is slightly let down by the steel bolts, which will rust over time given exposure to humidity/salt - these can be replaced with A2 stainless, no biggie.

Sound is great, linear and low THD with plenty of headroom. It excels on sources which need faithful reproduction, this isn't a character DI and it doesn't impart the same sonic signature as the Jensen transformer in the J48 etc.

Great choice for live work, where reliability & transparency is paramount. For studio work where colour is desired, maybe look at alternatives such as the BAE PDI (Carnhill transformer).

This DI-box works great for a studio set up.

I am running it through a focusrite interface and it has vastly improved the quality of my guitar Di's. When used in conjunction with amp simulation software the sound is greatly improved.
I have also used it to record my amp while also capturing DI signals and it worked exactly as expected.
I have not used this live but with it's sturdy build quality, it should withstand the abuse that live performance brings without recieving any major damaged but don't quote me on that.

It works great for Electric Guitar, Bass and Acoustic guitars (I haven't tried anything else through it as of yet).

I'm using it for recording guitars with a Scarlett 2i4.

Pros:
Excellent build quality, simple to use. It's great for taming too hot guitars to prevent sound card clipping without any loss in tone.

Cons:
None

Would recommend this to anyone who's having issues with a too hot guitar signal.

Lotta bang for the buck

Classic spare DI, because it always works. Always. I have been using mine forever and it just doesn't brake down. I'm pretty sure I can throw mine out the window, walk down, pick it up and it would still work. Using it for bass and it gives a very well balanced sound that works great for tv or live shows. Studio, not so much though. Could use a little more fatness but hey, this thing is definitely worth the money!
