I've had these covers for the bigger 712 mk2's for about 8 years now. they get chucked into the van and gigged most weeks. The still work, and are solid, give a bit of reasonable protection against bumps and scrapes.

I leave them on when putting onto poles. The 708 cover looks very similar, and is of comparable quality so no reason to doubt their longevity.
