Still to much volume for me.
Menno123 23.10.2020
So I wanted a practice pad as quiet as possible because I live in a noisy appartment. I had the older remo drum pad and the tab/hit volume of this silent stroke pad is definiteley quiter than that one. But the vibrations that this silent pad produce in combination with the remo practice pad stand are pretty much the same. For me it's to much. Though I am sure it doens't give more vibrations and volume than other rubber practice drum pads. So I returned the pad. Based on forums I now use an 10 inch acoustic tom with an silenstroke mesh head on it with the reso head off hanging on a ride cymbal stand. It's by fare the most silent setup you can go. The bounche of the mesh head is almost same as rubber practice pads. It works really good!

An amazing pad!

Bought this for practicing my rudiments.

The Silent Stroke feature is what caught my eye, and it's great!

It is definitely quieter than the normal pad, but if you want to remove most noise, I recommend mounting it on a cymbal stand or a snare stand because the vibrations can still be heard if you put it on a desk. But it's definitely not loud!

The head is mesh, the tightness of the head out of the box is good, not too unrealistically tight but not loose either.

Overall a good purchase! I recommend this for practicing.

My experience with this
CristianoDasNeves 07.04.2021
I own a regular practice pad that is very similar to this silent pad, just with a different head and it is super noizy comparing with the Remos Silent Pad. Apart from large noise reduction, it has a great rebound feel as wel. Another very important note is that, with the regular practice pad I could only use it when I was alone at home, or my girlfriend would get annoied by it. She tolerate this one a lot more.

Great pad for quiet practice.

I have been using a rubber practice pad for 10+ years now but this was an excellent upgrade.

It's a much better feel compared to my old pad and is much closer to a real drum.

I would definitely recommend for someone who wants to practice rudiments whilst not disturbing people nearby as it's comparable in volume to playing the notes on your leg.

Imitates a real drum and differs from some practice pads in that the edges are quite high. This means you can practice rim shots as well (although then it's not that silent anymore)

Not silent at all

I bought 6 practice pads.
This is the loudest of them all.
Also the feel is rubish.

Great Practice Pad

Nice practice pad with great feel, it's cool to be able to play with the tension. Although it's definitely quieter than other pads; I wouldn't say it's exactly silent.

Another interesting feature(not sure if intended by the producer) is being able to take out the sponge under the head. Give it a try, it won't disappoint! Good buy!
