So I wanted a practice pad as quiet as possible because I live in a noisy appartment. I had the older remo drum pad and the tab/hit volume of this silent stroke pad is definiteley quiter than that one. But the vibrations that this silent pad produce in combination with the remo practice pad stand are pretty much the same. For me it's to much. Though I am sure it doens't give more vibrations and volume than other rubber practice drum pads. So I returned the pad. Based on forums I now use an 10 inch acoustic tom with an silenstroke mesh head on it with the reso head off hanging on a ride cymbal stand. It's by fare the most silent setup you can go. The bounche of the mesh head is almost same as rubber practice pads. It works really good!
