Remo 20" Silent Stroke Mesh Head BD

If you bother your family or neighbours too much you should totally get these, change them once in a while for the drum heads so that you give them a rest.
The one i ordered didn't come with the contact sticker to stick on it so I went through it rather quickly, about 3 months and it ripped, but I assume it was a problem in the packaging because I got another one and It came with it , and have been playing it ever since.

Durability - very good
Sound - Lacks some deep end, but then again, that's what it is supposed to do.

It really makes your bass drum silent. It is a small betrayal for us drummers, :P, but we need to practice. It still has tone and it does make a noise but not the kind that will bother anyone. As a mesh head, the response is not that of a normal head but it is the closest that you'll get!

don't waste your money on the alternatives...
This lasts waaaaaaaay longer than the rest, and it's quieter.
Just buy this and be done with it.

The Silent Stroke Heads work very well. Really reduced volume. Tone is low but sound is manageable. Fantastic product from the boys in Remo. I can play and practice naturally hey! hey! hey!

Great head, gives a great rebound and is very hight quality!

The noise reduction is very substantial yes the head response is very close to a real drum head. I live in an apartment and will use these for triggering as well as noise reduced practice time acoustically. Great quality mesh head

No product will ever make your drums absolutely silent, but these are probably among the next best things you can buy, if you want to practice while keeping the noise levels down.

This has revolutionised my drum practice. I can now practice all the time using my acoustic kit instead of my electronic one. Much better for developing my bass drum technique!
