I use this on my 10” firecracker effect snare drum. This head can be tuned very high where they produce a lot of overtones and long, ringing sound - at this stage this head is very responsive to moon gel or other kinds of muffling.
I really love the sound this head makes and how versatile it is, but they wear out quickly (3-4 weeks)

Fits good, tunes easily, great tone. What you see is what you get. Classic sound with a durable coating.

Not For Snares IMO

I know these are technically for toms, but as a standard I generally use Ambassadors on my maple snares. However, I found it wasn't a thick enough sound for a 10" popcorn snare. That's just my opinion, but throwing it out there in case I'm not the only one. I ended up using a Powerstroke 77.

Great clarity off this skin. Punchy but clear. Works well on my maple tom. I love the feel of the coated ambassodors. In my opinion this skin would be great for rock and loud drumming styles

I use these regularly on my fusion set up and as my wedding band plays many different styles of music, you can't go wrong with the coated ambassador for sound, feel and tuning.
