The arm is far more adjustable than a conventional table stand, and what is more, it doesn’t take up much space at all on a desk as it can be directly fixed to any table up to a thickness of 56mm with the compact clamp. It also comes with a table feed-through (maximum depth 45mm) for flush mounting on a 20mm bore. The Roadworx table-mounted microphone arm is made from sleek black powder-coated aluminium, split into two 43cm sections, which can be directed at three points. The arm is held in place by a spring mechanism, and each joint can be locked by a screw, offering the user versatile leverage and solid adjustment. The central joint plays a crucial role in screwing the arm in place and ensures that it is firmly held in place. Instead of an integrated XLR cable, the Roadworx microphone arm has a clip system, which enables users to attach 8mm diameter (max) cables onto the underside of the arm.

I hate this microphone pantograph! After a month of use, it started damaging my desk (it attaches very poorly to my desk, constantly slipping off). Every time I need to pull the microphone towards me or to the side, the poorly secured clamp (and I made every effort to tighten it as much as possible to the desk) starts sliding across the desk, slightly turning or moving at the attachment point. It’s incredibly annoying. Its joints are loosened to the maximum, but it’s still not flexible enough for me to use comfortably. Additionally, there’s now play in the part where the microphone attaches. Since this part isn’t adjustable, I don’t think it’s designed to have a movable axis. It turns slightly clockwise and hits a stop, and the same counterclockwise. There’s no point in this, so it must be a defect. Overall, I’m dissatisfied and confident that for this price, a better stand can be found.
