Good gig bag
Leif H. 19.02.2014
Hello,

this is actually my first gig bag I ever bought and I'm using it since 2011 now. Before that, I had one that came with my first Bass. Till now I didn't had any problems with the material or zipper and I'm using it on a weekly basis. And as I'm a student without a car, I'm not laying it in the back of my car and drive around with it. I'm using it mostly with my ATK and my Warwick.

The inside padding delivers a good protection against outside force and the neck is safely secured with its Velcro fastener. The outside delivers a good weatherproof protection, or at least, I didn't had any wet instruments or any water inside of it now. The outside pockets aren't really big, but for most small utilities it is enough. A small folder, a cable and my strap and the front is almost full. In the neck pocket I carry my tuner, but could easily store 1 or 2 other small things there.

Another good point is the strap system to carry it. The two comfortable and big straps make it easy to carry it around and once setup, stays like that. The opportunity to store them in the back of the gig bag wasn't used by me yet, so I can't commend on that.

The only negative thing I like to point out, is that my Gig Bag was/is a bit twisted at the top. But it doesn't seem to effect it in any way if a instrument is inside. In the end, I'm sure there are other solutions, but this one is definitely a good choice for the price it cost.

Good, sturdy, but needs improvement.

I chose this 'bag based on design, brand reputation, and customer reviews.

It has thick padding, perfect for journeys in the car/van, where a flightcase might be too big; also handy when using public transport. Just remember how tall your headstock can be when you're going through a doorway.

The pockets are wide enough for leads, deep enough for tuner + pedals + a power supply - depending on how large your pedals/supply are.
I find that I can fit everything but my stand into this bag. (Bass, 3m instrument cable, 6m instrument cable, Tech21 Bass Driver, power supply, Korg Tuner, picks, earplugs, cloth)
If you were playing a small TC or Hotone amp, you could probably fit it into the large pocket on this bag.

Two problems so far.
Although this has so far endured a lot of handling, the handle on the front of the bag is stitched directly onto the faux leather - and has started to tear away. The faux leather simply isn't strong enough to deal with the lifting forces you'll put on it. The side handle, by contrast, is stitched to the woven 'skeleton' of the bag, and is solid and secure.
Second problem - only a tiny one - if you have long hair, and you want to wear this on your back - it will catch in the velcro pad near the top of the shoulder mounts. Not the end of the world, but it still becomes a nuisance.

Well built, but needs a slight design review. Fine to buy and use, as long as you avoid that weak front handle.

Good but weak at the beginning of neck
Michal Mel. 18.12.2021
The neck seems to be very well protected, body too, but the area “in-between” is the weakest. It’s where the bag also bends when it’s empty. The front pocket is reasonably sized if you only have small amp and maybe one pedal. I have wireless pedal, strap, Warwick gnome i pro and tech21 VT and I have to use additional bag. I can “squeeze “ everything in, but it puts this bag to its limits. Will eventually upgrade to the expensive Masterbuild version.
