A good Pedalboard - Duo2.3
Níck Soderi 06.08.2023
I purchased the RockBoard Duo 2.3 to replace my Pedaltrain Nano max. The reason for replacing it is because the power supply I use is quite thick and it requires the pedalboard to be taller between the floor and the board itself.
My pedaltrain had to go through some feet adjustments where I had remove them and attach them with longer screws and washers spacers to provide the correct distance between the floor and and power supply. Unfortunately, overtime, all feet start to become woobly and unfit to use.

Acquiring the RockBoard Duo 2.3 was initially the solution for my problem as itnis higher than my current Pedaltrain. Also because it is almost 2cm longer than the Pedaltrain Nano Max.

The RockBoard Duo 2.3 is great overall, with good metal quality. Unfortunately the RockBoard Duo 2.3 is not high enough for my need, so I had to again replace the feet for longer ones and higher feet. The good thing is that, as opposed to the Pedaltrain Nano Max that has bolted feet, not screwed, the RockBoard Duo 2.3 has a very decent feet screw base that is really sturdy and allows you to adjust, disassemble etc at ease with allen keys. That worked really well and I am pleased with it.

Points to be concerned:

- Just as the Pedaltrain, the RockBoard Duo 2.3 comes with a very cheap poor quality velcro that I will not use, if I want my Pedalboard to be reliable, so as always, I bought the 3M Velcro Lock, which is the best velcro to have your pedals attached to a Pedalboard.

- The softbag that comes with the RockBoard Duo 2.3 has very good quality materials, but unfortunately is very thin/shallow, and does not allow it to be zipped/closed. I have few normal size pedals, a Line6 HXStomp and an MXR talkbox, which is a bit high. In the end, I managed to have the RockBoard Duo 2.3 inside the Pedaltrain Nano Max softbag and worked perfectly. Point to Pedaltrain on this one.
