After dozens of proper good rockboard cables, I have finally ran into the first issues. First, though, I must disclaim I'm not completely sure if the problem is exclusively with the cables, or if the pedal and/or power are also involved in the conspiracy - but the truth is that I'm using one of these cables in a Seymour Duncan Vapor Trail and noticed there's a great increase of noise/hum whenever my fingers get close to the cable, in the angled jack end, which is very off-putting.
If, on one hand, this isn't happening with the other pedals (where I'm also using these cables), leading me to believe there's no problem with the cable, on the other hand, when I switched to a couple of ernie ball cables there was noticeable decrease of earth noise/hum, which definitely means these cables weren't cooperating either, surely.
Anyway, having recently upgraded my power supply I'll be able to do some further troubleshooting when it arrives, and then I can better assess the situation in order to find the source of the problem. Surely this is only the first tiny crack in the otherwise great reliability of this brand, in my view, and even if now I'm a tad less eager to recommend this product, I will still give it a positive 3 stars until further evidence.
