As a patchbay it does the job, although you can get much cheaper bays out there. It covers the hole in the Rockboard pedalboard well, but the installation is fiddly and requires long nose pliers (or a special spanner) to hold the bolts when mounting. As a headphone amp, it's ok; it does the job, although you do not get the actual sound that goes to the desk. The cab sim is not suitable for bass and sounds terrible (too digital for my ear). I've returned the one I bought and I'm very disappointed.
Rockboard can do a lot better with this product. For example, 1. the MOD could take its power from the mains, rather than requiring a 300mA input from your power supply. 2. the patchbay would be more versatile if it had combo XLR/TRS jacks. I'm not sure what can be done about the headphone amp or the cab sim (for bass), but they definitely need work.
