Good product !

I used the SM3-R with a rode NTG4 and XLR43 cable. Once mounted it does a good job !

As long as you don't touch your mic or really shake your camera. The mic wiggles silently on the lyres, and you can manipulate your camera without sounds being caught by the mic.

The mic does not slide in the lyres smoothly, you need to force the mic in, but it holds the mic very well. The mic is very safely attached when mounted on the camera.

Because of the shape it's not very convenient to transport, i wouldn't disassemble the unit each time because of small screws and no bag/box to transport it.
It looks like it could eventually break in a backpack, and collect dirt with time. (the inside parts of the lyres were dirty and looked used when i unpacked my unit and it was not b-stock i bought.)

---

Pros:
- The SM3-R does a good job at isolating friction/movement noises on the camera.
- Once mounted, the mic is very well held any direction you may hold the camera.
- Works well with the rode XLR43 cable - no cable noise when camera shakes.
- Comes with + 2 spare screws.
- Very light

Cons:
- When assembled it's not really convenient to transport in a backpack.
- A bit hard to mount a mic on the lyres.
- Lyres plastic collects dirt and dust easily.
