I've heard some good things about these so I decided to give them a go. They're supposed to "liven" a cedar top guitar, although some players claim to find the sound of fuorocarbon trebles harsh and unpleasant... Well, it seems to be the case for me. I didn't like the sound of the trebles at all. However... The Cantiga 'premium' basses. They sound fantastic. I replaced the trebles with 'composite G' half set from D'addario and immediately noticed how nice these new basses sound. They have all the qualities of regular Cantigas but without their flaws. No increased finger noise and no increased volume until they settle. I can't stress enough how good these bass strings sound. I love them. They're my new favourites. Overall the set scores a solid 3/5 with the new Cantigas receiving 6(!)/5. Beacause they're fantastic. Give them a go. Maybe with different trebles.
