Dieses Mundstück ist in meinen Augen für Kornettisten gedacht, die sich in einem Sinfonieorchester durchsetzen müssen: der Klang ist angenehm weich, etwas hell, wenn man das möchte, und ihm fehlt vielleicht etwas die Wärme, zu der ein Kornett in der britischen Brassband benutzt wird.

Dafür ist die Intonation (auf Schilke XA1 und auch anderen Kornetts) hervorragend und man hat eine sehr gute Kontrolle über das Spiel.
