This cajon cymbal is mounted on a low stand within my reach when I am playing. It is meant to be tapped by your fingers or knuckles, and sounds great when you play it that way. Unexpectedly, it also reacts well to brushes and small mallets, which I was not prepared for, but is a great bonus. It sounds a bit harsh with drumsticks, but it was not designed for that, so not a problem. It’s nice to have an extra dimension in your sound, moving from the cajon to a cymbal. Highly recommended.
