Heck Stick - is one of my favorite innovation from Schlagwerk which gives more opportunity to use cajon live on stage. Now my Cajon may sound as almost completely drum set. The songs became sounds much richer and filling with simulated high-hat. I also have the abilities to change sound from closed to louder opened sound just with one move of hand.
A secure hold on Velcro tape makes it possible to disconnect Heck Stick at any time when it is inconvenient, such as during transportation.
Thanks to Heck Stick I can play a lot larger amount of grooves and bits from a lot of styles of music from drum n bass to latino which now sounds richer instead of using just original cajon technique.

The hihat for the cajonplayer
Anonymous 01.05.2014
I play drums for about 25 years. For smaller gigs (without PA) I often use my unplugged "drumset": a cajon for bass- and snare-sound and to sit on it and this heckstick as a nice hihat.
You can fix it with velcro on left or right side of your cajon. You can also switch between closed and opend hihat. The loudness is just the right one for a balanced sound with bass and snare.
Since 4 years I use it nearly every week and it still works wear-free.
I bought some additional velcro, so I can switch the side of the cajon and also can fix it on one of my other percussion-boxes.

A fun addition!
Anonymous 23.02.2015
This Heck Stick is a lot of fun to play, and lets you come up with different grooves on the cajon. It's easy to attach and once it is attached, it won't come off. You can hit it very hard (not that you should do that) and it will hold just fine. The sound is a nice, subtle, tambourine-like sound. Not overpowering in any way and it blends very nicely with the sound of my Schlagwerk 2-in-one cajon.

Excellent, a must of every cajon player

This clever little device will add a lot of expressive possibilities to your cajon playing. It mounts really easily and - most important - it can be removed as easily without leaving marks (just in case you change your mind!)
