I bought these mallets to use on my Pandariq frame drum, purchased through Thomann's website. I have tried a few other styles of mallet for my frame drum, but these really stood out to me on account of the quality and feel. They have a firm felt mallet head and are well balanced in the stick. They are very springy and bounce well, but give a more mellow tone over maybe a wood tipped, or harder plastic tipper mallet. They are very smooth and worth the money. My friend tried it and really liked it for his drum, he had been used to playing with a softer padded beater. The sticks themselves seem very durable.

Great product - weak neck.
Anonymous 15.05.2014
I love these Mallets. They look and feel great. With a really balanced weight to them.
The end of life for all of my sets has been the same though. The neck has cracked a few centimetres beneath the head. Fair enough - I've had them for two years now, and they have seen some heavy use (up to 15 hours a week with children, nurseries and special needs groups). It's just such a shame as everything about them is really nice quality (I love the look and feel of them) aside from their predictable demise.
If you're buying these for yourself, you can't go far wrong. They're lovely, and will reward you for years to come. If you're sharing them around and not supervising, don't be surprised to see one of the necks break and a loose head bounce across the room.

Every drummer should have a Set
Paul Ni 12.03.2017
I thought I would treat myself to a set of these for a more subtle sound especially on cymbals. Unlike sticks which make the 'chick' noise as you strike a cymbal before you get the crash, the mallets do not make much of a sound on contact allowing you to roll on the cymbal to create an ever increasing volume with a clean sound.
This pair of Mallets are great quality at a great price.

Using with gongs
Catpaw 22.11.2017
I use these mallets with gongs. They are great for teasing out more gentle frequencies across the spectrum of gong sizes. Good quality items that can be used either subtly or more forcefully creating a wide range of effects.

It's easy to use!

It's easy to use!
I bought this mallet for the first time. 10,12,14,16 inch Toms are play, but well, a balance of a rebound hears very good sound.
A cost performance ratio is high, so I think I'd also like to playing by a team.

Great product!
Anonymous 11.11.2016
I've been using these mallets for quite some years now and they are really great! After a while, because of all the beating of course, the heads do tend to come off of the stick and need to be glued back on - nothing serious though!

Sounds great on cymbals, but mostly sounds like sticks when playing the toms.
